As the Family Justice Center rises from the ground, we are also building the team and partnerships that will bring its vision to life.
The FJC is not simply about putting multiple services in the same building. It is about implementing a truly collaborative model in one location, where DCFOF and our community partners work together to make it easier for survivors to find safety, support, justice, and healing.
That requires us to think differently about how we organize our own work. DCFOF is aligning staff roles and responsibilities around the FJC, strengthening partner coordination, and developing the systems that will allow organizations with different expertise and responsibilities to work as one collaborative response.
The building gives us the opportunity. The people and partnerships are what will make the Family Justice Center work.
We are doing that work now, long before the doors open, because our vision is bigger than a new campus. We are building a better way for our community to respond when someone reaches out for help.
One location. Many partners. One shared commitment to survivors.
