- Responsible purchasing: Significant expenditures follow established procurement and competitive purchasing practices.
- Accurate financial management: Financial activity is regularly recorded, reconciled, and reviewed.
- Board oversight: The Board of Directors receives and reviews financial reports throughout the year.
- Independent review: An external accounting firm conducts an annual financial audit, and DCFOF files an annual IRS Form 990 for public disclosure.
Independent Accountability
DCFOF is subject to financial, programmatic, and compliance monitoring by federal, state, and local funders. These reviews help ensure that public and private resources are managed in accordance with applicable requirements and used for their intended purposes.
