Fall 2026 Update:
Adult Counseling and Homeschool Enrichment Program internship placements are currently full for Fall 2026.
Other internship and practicum opportunities may still be available. Availability is subject to program capacity and supervision requirements.
Assess safety of clients, connect clients to appropriate and available resources, complete victim intake, and more.
Support educators working with CPS-referred parents, assist inside and outside of classes, maintain records, and help develop curriculum.
Gain experience working with trauma survivors and/or individuals who have caused harm. Opportunities may be tailored to support professional interests and provide a diversity of experience.
Fall 2026 placements are currently full.
Provide outreach and advocacy to victim partners, assess service needs, complete referrals, and observe BIPP group sessions.
Assist with groups for individuals who have used intimate partner violence, participate in individual and group supervision, support orientation and intake sessions, and maintain client documentation.
Support Camp HOPE and Child Shelter Advocacy programs through event coordination, community partnerships, case management support, school enrollment, children’s activities, documentation, and other services for children and families.
Support community and criminal justice outreach efforts and assist with the preparation and delivery of presentations and trainings.
Support educational programming at Explorium Children’s Museum, including weekly homeschool enrichment days and drop-off programs. Work with museum staff to create engaging learning experiences for children.

Support volunteer and in-kind donation management, special events, fundraising activities, and donor care.
Gain experience supporting children and adolescents impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault through play therapy services.
Respond to Survivor Advocacy Team calls, conduct intakes, provide crisis intervention, assist with documentation, and support survivors following a crisis.
Support shelter clients through advocacy, court accompaniment, crisis line response, shelter intakes, and other direct services.
Assess client safety and housing needs, connect clients with appropriate resources, and support survivors working toward long-term housing stability.
