Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is observed every year during the month of April to bring awareness of the impact that Sexual Assault has on our community.
In observance of SAAM, Denton County Friends of the Family will be participating in Teal Tuesday in support of survivors.
We invite you to join us as we stand up against Sexual Assault in Denton County by wearing teal, spreading awareness and participating in upcoming events.

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we will be giving away a Tiffany & Co. pet collar engraved with your pets name!
With every $25 donation, your name will be entered into the drawing. The deadline to enter is Sunday, April 30. The winner will be announced Monday, May 1 on Facebook Live at 12:30 PM.

Cats Against Cat Calling is an opportunity for the community to raise awareness of the impact that Sexual Assault has on victims and their pets.
We invite the community and their furry friends to tell us why they stand up against Sexual Assault in Denton County. Prizes will be given away to the top 3 winners. The deadline to enter is Friday, April 21.

“Ssshhhh…secrets in my hood” will address the hidden, yet pervasive occurrence of Sexual Assault and abuse within the Black/African American communities and how it, unfortunately, has become somewhat normalized within the family structure.
