The Final $4.7 Million

Every Gift Moves Hope Forward

The Family Justice Center did not begin when construction equipment arrived on the site. This journey began years ago, when our community first came together around a vision: create one place where survivors can find safety, services, support, and a path forward.

Since 2020, individuals, businesses, foundations, and public partners have invested in that vision. Some gifts have been transformational. Others have come $25, $50, or $100 at a time. Every gift has moved Expedition Hope forward.

Today, nearly $12 million in land and dollars has been secured toward the $16.7 million needed for Phase 1. That investment is turning years of planning into something tangible: infrastructure in the ground, a building ready to rise, and the Family Justice Center beginning to take shape.

And this expedition has never belonged to one organization. Denton County Commissioners Court committed $8 million. The City of Lewisville, City of Denton, Rayzor Investments, Ltd., and The J. Newton Rayzor Foundation have made significant investments. Businesses, foundations, and individuals have joined them, from major gifts to community members who have faithfully supported the vision year after year.

Together, they are the trailblazers who have brought us this far.

Phase 1 represents much more than the building itself. The $16.7 million project includes the land and pre-development work that made the project possible, site work and infrastructure, construction of the emergency shelter and survivor service spaces, equipment and appliances, furnishings, technology, security, signage, and other essentials needed to turn a building into a place that can truly serve survivors and their children.

We have made tremendous progress.

72% OF THE WAY THERE

$4.7M TO GO

That final $4.7 million will help us finish Phase 1 and open the doors to a place where survivors and their children can find safety, nourishment, services, stability, and hope in one location.

The distance remaining is significant. But look how far this community has already traveled.

Every contribution moves us forward. Every new trailblazer strengthens the expedition. And every dollar invested today brings us closer to a destination our community has been working toward for years.

The journey is underway. The destination is in sight. There is still room on the trail.

Help us finish Phase 1.
